EL CORTES
I decide 3 different gametypes:
Gametype A:
very offensive war – little distance to the oponent – all shooters shoot right after PT.
Gametype B:
medium offensive war – medium distance to the oponent – after the PT remained only the first lines of the player's shooters will shoot.
Gametype C:
Defensive game / Camp – big distance to the oponent – after the PT remained nothing shoots.
Game-character:
-a slow-moving but very effective tactican
-does not like to risk
-non-aggressive, prefers a defensive way of playing
-lazy player (as little moves as possible)
-Very stabil player. You may never underestimate him.
-If he sees he looses a battle he tries to go back as early as possible to regroup.
-Do never think that he is beaten and attack all out or something like that. Be careful, especially when he goes deep in his base. He is strong at geurilla-war in base. You should never follow him in his base unless you have like 10 times more soldiers, then off course you can attack.
-Cortes does not mind at all to have a shining overrun vs his oponent. Overrun means going to line and going to line means that the risk for getting defeated is there, so he will most of the times avoid it. He plays for Victory means defending and scoring.
Strengths:
-very strong at low-action games, give him enough time to think and it will be hard to beat him
-he tries to use the shapes of the maps against you.
-Very effective defender
-He tries to surround / flank you at anytime
-very good base-build
-very good economy
-frightening reputation – many players seem to have big respect of him which effects on their way of playing and makes them do things they would not normally do
Weaknesses:
-Bad full attack: He does some kind of very unexpected full attacks with his army in a moment you would never expect an atttack. If you are not paying attention he will hit some shooters and you will have big problems to win the game. If you pay attention at every second you can smash his attack and outnumber him later, with husars and make a strong counter attack.
-When he attacks then he always comes over the very front side on your front side, he seldomly attacks over the flanks with hussars.
-Bad hussars attack: He never does trick attacks with his hussars ( moving all huss out for some secs and take them back.), when you see his hussars starting to walk, they will run through.
-He attacks officers with hussars. Very obvious defenses he tries to avoid though.
-He looses here and there some shooters if you keep action in the game and know the moment when to stop attacking you can easily get the control and win him.
-Not paying attention on every detail.
-Reacts with a little delay.
Prussia
Strengths:
very strong at Gamestyle C. He keeps producing muskets and enlarges his army by sharing his his musks into little groups, that he spreads out to the left or right flank to make it impossible to surround him. It would be stupid to attack him at Gamestyle C, because it is nearly imposible to leave the game with a Victory. He is just waiting for you to do the first step and attack him. He even wants it. If you attacked him, he will lead the score and he would never counter- attack you. He plays for score and waits until the 45 minutes points victory run out.
Consequently, you have only one thing to do here – Counter-camping and scoring, if you want to win. You have my promise that he will not attempt to attack you, when he leads the score
Gamestyle B is Cortes favourite style. In 70% of the games he tries to play it.
He is building very many muskets until the end of the PT most of the times. If he does not decide to all-out-attack you right after PT, which he does sometimes, then his main tactic is to react vs your actions. Beware of traps that he might have planned. Cortes is a defender, so for him it is like a christmas present, if you attack him right in the begin with hussars on Gamestyle B, he is expecting such things.
You should not be to offensive here, but if you have a better map, or you have an idea to position your army better than him, then do it and you might force him to try some weird attacks against you, that are most of the times easy to defend.
Weaknesses:
Rather weak at Gamestyle A. Cortes does not know how to do a very effective attack on little distance. So his major plan is to full attack you right in the begin with everything but the officers.
His hope is to kill most of your officers, some musks and drags and to may be push you into a position that would him block your barracks. A Counter-attack for you would be hard then, because he has many officers and he will be in a good defensive position.
BUT !!! According to the fact that we know that, i will show you how to Rush properly ( I will create a topic about that ).
In Linefights you have the best chance to beat Cortes easily, re-read his weaknesses to know the why. If you beat his hussars when he full attacks you, you will have enough husars to counter attack and you will not have lost all officers as he planned to.
And in case he does not attack you with his hus you will easily kill him too, because it is too much actions he can not handle that well.
England
Situation: Highlander + Hussars vs Highlander + Hussars
With that combination you have good chances to beat him. Cortes tends to do a highlander formation of that i personally think is very bad to do with England.
With England it is not very effective to create a formation of Highlander in a very offensive battle.
If you manage to sourround his formation with 2 drags flanks and your highs in the middle, then the formation will go down.
Just play as there wouldnt be a formation.
In case he does not do a formation one of his weaknesses are getting very obvious to see – the cover.
As i said above he is a lazy player, he does not move his cover often enough which lets him loose some highlanders. Especially with England he loves to do unexpected full-attacks. Therefore he moves his hussars on the outer flanks to makes sure that he wins your hussars and then runs over your flank. If you keep defending properly and with no delay you can beat it fairly easy.
England is not one of his strongest nations, but it is very important not to underestimate him at any time.
No Power / Musks + Hussars
In this option it is very effective to be the defender/ reactor, which is an advantage for Cortes.
As usual he plays very careful here, he keeps changing his tactics from time to time but the basics still stay the same. Such as enlarging the frontline by using line- or cube formations. His main target here is to kill your drags and if you engage a drag vs drag fight with him and you dont attack with your hussars, then he will attack forsure, coz it is necessary to win the flank.
Also you should know that, his flankattack with the drags is always not very well organized, if you defend it effectfully you can beat his attack. If you lead score then you have the control. He will try to go back early and build up and effectful defense. Be very careful here. If you loose your counter attack he has teh score again. And then in 95% of all games he never attacks anymore, because it is too risky for him to fall back on score before the 45 mins remain.
No Power / Drags + musks
In Linefights you can beat him with the regular 3 army tactic. He knows the tactic too and you should not underestimate him. You can ask me for records how to do an effective opening attack in drag vs drag games. On distance you should be very careful. He is very strong in defending with drags on distance. I recommend you not to attack on maps of Gamestyle C, let him come to the middle.
His best nations are (all nations that are better in defense):
Denmark, Prussia (Gamestyle B,C), Saxony, Bavaria and NO POWER – musks+hussars, NO POWER- musks+drags.
Nations he got problems with:
England ( highs+hussars), Ukraine, Turkey
Advises:
Never listen to what he tells you to do. He calls you a camper ? That means he does not know what to do to win the game. Do not change your way of playing only because he annoyes you with offenses !
On Gamestyle A rush him careful but effectively ! If it is gamestyle B or C let him attack you. The Attack his weakness, so exploit it. Once you have the score and he goes back, do not follow him.
Have a clear mind ! Do a plan for the fight. And if you won him and he goes back, do not follow and firstly think about the situation: How many troops do i have ? How many soldiers does he have ? Can i attack him or is it too risky ? Make a formation and bother him with it by slow attacking? Play cool and use your brain.
According to the fact that battles vs him take very long, it is a MUST to check your ressources constantly !!! If you have a mutiny or a famine, he will not give you an autosave !
He plays only for the Victory and not for showing skills. If he wins by 45 mins points victory it means the same for him as winning by a lucky attack after 2 minutes. The Victory is everything.
If you play vs him you must act the same. Playing vs him is like you are playing a different game. Show your skills in other games, but vs Cortes better be clever and play for victory too.
He loves positioning his hussars far back, because he wants you to attack him. If it is power do not do it. If it is England and he has nomore cover you should attack him.

Take this information in this profile as an additional help to what you already know about Cortes.
If you think you have an effective way of playing which is not the same as i wrote above and you are constantly suceeding with it vs Cortes, then off course keep playing like that.
This Profile should just be a help for certain situations in that you do not know what to do and to know Cortes a bit better.

EL COSSACK
Long time ago i found out a very informative thing. Cortes and Cossack same to have personal Contact in real life probably via telephone, email and msn.
In Cossacks they basically know the same. Same tactics... same base-build.... same way of playing.
There is just a slight difference. Normally Cossack is weaker than Cortes, though at the moment he is better than Cortes. Anyway, Cossack has a few more weaknesses than Cortes and some other strengths that i will list up here.
Strengths:
good organization of the army in the beginning of the fight. During the fight he tends to loose the organization, which let him loose many shooters.
Very good drag+piks attack in the begin of the fight.
Plays very creative drag vs drag games. In my opinion he is stronger in Cortes in it.
Excellent base-build
good economy
Weaknesses:
The ultimative weakness of Cossack is forsure his treatment of the musceteers and highlanders
In almost every game over the last years i won, because i smasked his musks / highs later in the game. He does not move them and he does not move the cover very well. If you control yours perfectly you will have an easy victory vs him.
I do not understand how it is possible, but sometimes Cossack reacts with a delay on new situations. He needs some time to rethink a different tactic and finding possibilities how to react on your movements. In these moments he looses shooters.
Later in the game, he tends to loose the control if you do things that he does not expect.
I personally have not lost since 2 and a half years in a 1v1 battle vs Cossack. I dont see a big threat in him.
It is the same phenomenom as with Cortes. These 2 Russians equalize their weakneses with their defensive way of playing. This explains why Cossack wins so many players. Though with some concentration and creative and careful way of playing you can outplay him easily...

EL Kopojib
Game-character:
rather defensive than offensive
unstabil player. He sometimes plays very well. The other day he plays very bad.
His speed is laggy and slow, and keeps changing from game, he perfectly knows his speed which gives him a little advantage.
Tries to immitate some of Cortes tactics in no power.
Strengths:
very very strong camper with Prussia. On Gamestyle B and C you should not attempt to attack him.
A quite good Powernation player
A quite good no power players sometimes

Bad army conrol with England. A routined England player will not have problems with him.

EL MIA
Mia is the only player i know, who only plays and just can play this 1 nation – Denmark.
He plays it since 5 years and it would be fatal to underestimate him. A few weeks ago he just restarted to play and was easy to beat. Today i played him and had 1 defeat vs him in a Rush game and i was Prussia. Off course i wanted a regame and won it. More about it below !
He definetly belongs to the best Denmark players and is the best Denmark player in EL clan.
Game-character:
If you go to line, he will come too.
very fair and gives regames.
In linefights quite offensive, although he is denmark. In Gamestyle B and C, he camps his ass off. But he always tries to find a way how to attack you.
Very stabil and reliable player
Strengths:
He is very strong at linefights vs Denmark and Prussia.
Covers his army very effective
He only moves when it is necessary and he nearly does it perfectly. It is hard to find mistakes in his gameplay. There is not much you can do false with Denmark anyway
Very strong rusher at linefights. He rushes Denmark and sometimes Prussia, beware !
He uses his mind when he plays. He is capable to find solutions for every new possible situations – flexible.
Very strong in teamgames.
Weaknesses:
He is used to build up his barracks very fast, though he does not have the maximum of possible receivable musks.
In fact he does not have weaknesses in his gameplay. He always tries to do the maximum of what is possible. And he always plays his Denmark the same way, no changes at all. He plays according to the present situation.
Advises how to beat him:
It is not impossible to beat him, though it is not easy. If you are Prussia i recommend you not to go to line if you dont have enough place to atttack. If it is a big map and you can come with hussars from all sides, then you can attack him.
At Linefights he is a musks-killer so keep your musks away from line. Rather try to sourround him, which is not easy, because he got effective ways to avoid that. Do trick attacks with your hussars to make him move his cover. Only fullattack with hussars if you are sure this attack will beat him.
If you stay on distance, i recmomend only to build muskets. He will probably try to attack you somehow, if it is a 2v2 he will go to help his partner. If he does not go to help try to use all your cavallery to penetrate his base. May be if you go some way you can block his 17th barracks or his diplo or his stables. Try to find ways which makes him split his army that your hussars can attack one part. But be careful. If you split too much he has no fear of all out attacking your musks.
If you have Denmark and you go to line he will all out attack you right after PT. His main target is that his Musks survive. Therefore he will sacrifise everything. I can send you records of Denmark vs denmark and Prussia vs his Denmark if you want to see his way of playing.
The only way to beat his Rush is to Rush yourself. If the game is rather a camp game of Gamstyle B and C then he will try to surround your base and only build musks. He is very defensive in such fights. But he is no big score player, you can win after 45 mins by having a lot of more score than him.

I decided to make a list to show you my trades with different nations !
As you all might have noticed i always build round about 16 harbors to build 280 boats, i dont do that coz of point, i do it coz of the ressources, USually i would run outta ressources, but with taht huge income of food i barely run out of ressources, unless my partenr in 2v2s does not ask me for ressources whole time
SO do harbors as well ! Especially in 45 mins score games !

Explanation: 17 barracks is very risky and i do it only because i know exactly what to change and what to do ! But i advise everyone just to make 16 barracks is safer !

Upgrade the 300% stone upgrade and gather stone. Trade stone to gold ( if necessary) to finish the upgrades, its important to trade as less stone as possible to gold just to do to all shoot upgrades in academy, if you have 20k gold left, dont worry thats enoug hfor the battle ! Trade stone to coal, dont forget like in the trades before to increase the worth of stone by trading little amounts of coal to stone before and then do the maintrade !.
YOu should have 20k gold, 50k iron , 90k coal now round about of course !
If there is big distance, i advise anyone just to make 16 barracks, and keep the left ressources to buy coal,iron or gold !
Fight-STrategy:
Do 1 Army !!!! Split does not work in ukra vs Ukra, the Problem is the missing cover, thats why you have to put them all close together, so that they cover each other! As soon as the battle starts you have to make sure that all Shooters shoot, not only 30% of the shooters, not only 60%, ALL !!!
But by doing this you have to make sure that all shooters shoot without going forward. I call it defensive attack, you sent all Muskets, in this case Serdiuks to the front by doing the Yellow Arrow of attack-order at the line where the Shooters stark to shoot, that means they will all shoot but tehy wont try to go more forward !
Fullattack with ukraine vs ukraine or vs others does not work! USe the given cover only as Cover not for rush !

You should have very much stone left after you have built everything, so trade some stone to wood, but dont forget to increase the worth stone before by trading some wood to stone ( 15 Mousecliks in Market round about)
Fight- Strategies:
TUrkes vs Turkey: Do Janissaries until 7.30 min, after start to build, light infantry-men.
20 Secs before the battle starts, do Control A to enlarge your army, but pull your tatars in the middle, form this position they are able to reach all parts of the oponents army!
The most important thing tha tyou have to know is, if the pt is over full- atack with everything! Concentrate your tatars only on the oponent's Shooters and nothing else. Start to send out a rain of arrows from your tatars, on points of the oponents army, where you think are the most shooters! Very important to know is, in Tukrey vs Turkey the one wins, who is able to killthe oponents shooters at first, so dont waste to shoto with arrows on parts of the oponents army where you already successfully killed shooters !
As you see it is quite simple, but though very stressy !
Turkey vs Other nations:
To be exact: Camp your arse of and camp behind houses chruches walls whatever you think is necessary to keep your oponent on distance, so that they are a perfect target for your tatars.
In an open field battle Turkey is usually hopeless in minority and can easily get overrun !
Algeria vs ALgeria:
Do Archers from barracks straight from the beginning and build 100s of houses !!!
Build Mamelucks and Upgrade them ! It is important to sourround the oponet with your mercenary Drags. Surrounding gives you a giant advantage if your oponent plays the same tactics. The main- aim in this game is not to losoe own drags and to crush the oponents cover for attacking with your mamelucks!

2 vs 2 How To Play In Team !
Hello Brothers in arms !
Due to the latest events ( KGR starts to beat big and strong Clans ), i decided to sum up the most important things that you have to know when you play in team, to avoid possibly coming Misunderstandings!
1. A teamgame is obviously no 1v1, speak with your partner about a strong strategy before the battle starts and dont do risky things that probably dont work.
Its important not to go in War without to know what to do and without to know hwat your partner will do !
2. We have to rely on each other, thats why you always have to control the Partners Battle Situation. Although you have got your own fight you may not forget to do that coz it might rescue your partners life! If help is necessary, dont hesitate to send it immediately !
3. Spy the Oponent ! Look what they are doing, if they gather ther hussars in one huge group its very sure that they will probably attack 2v1. As soon as you see that your oponent sends troups to his partner YOu must send troups to your partner as well. Try to top the amount of soldiers that you send, in comparision to your opononent, that means send additionally some shooters! BY doing this your direct oponent might notice that they plan will probably not work and he might go back, so be prepared!
4. Taking control over the middle of the map is the most important thing of a teamgame! The team that is able to seperate the oponents from each other, can play more defensive and has more options! They can do 2v1 and additionally the oponents are forced to do something!
It doesnt matter if you put muskets in middle or drags with piks cover! The most mportant hting is that you can hold the middle, but pay attention if your oponent is denmark and you concentrate on the middle too much, he might breakthrough with some trooops at the coast side and might destroy some of your buildings!
5. Dont listen to oponents cry if they moan about your teamplay, it is a 2v2 and you may help each other ! Dont change your tactics or stretagies, because of that !
6 Build diplo and stables in the back so that you are able to do guerilla if your oponent wants to conquer you, addtionally you areable to send hussars to your partner to help, i usually try to put my baracks 17th and my diplo together like that its hard for him to block my diplo with piks or officers.
7. Resistance is also very important . Even if you have lost your battle try to retreat as early as possible to save as much time as you can for your partner at least to win ! Never leave the game if you have just lost your battle and your partner might still have a chance to win. Support him to win his battle and to come to help !
8. Try not to loose shooters in mainbattles, if you see that the oponent team does a 2v1 vs you, like they are sending 2 Prussian Hussars Armies on you, then dont try to rely on your defence, It is impossible to win vs such an amount of Riders, unless your partner is too late with his help ! So if you see tha tthey full attck with loads of soldiers, then just go back! ANd avoid being surrounded!
9. IN case, that your Partner has been defeated, that doesnt mean that the game is lost, as i mentioned already in Number 7, just retreat if you think you cannot stand the am0oount of oponents soldiers.
My experience has shown that if my partenrs was defeated, his oponent came with shooters to me and cavallery. Most of the times the opoent is coming to flank you, as i already said you must avoid being surrounded, so go back and reposition your army as good as possible to avoid being surrounded. If possible try to free your partners base, but if you are unsure if you can stand the oponents mob, then just stand ground there.
10. If you notice that your oponent is too defensive or to well prepared after the pt ended and you dont wanna riskto get defeated, then try to cut him from his partner and send help to beat your oponent!
11. Be quick! If you send help to your oponent, wait until everyhting arrived and attack immediately, so that the oponents are not able to enstrength their armies!
12. Make sure that if you atatckwith hussars you neverr attack the enemies officers with your hussars, always attack with more groups of hussars to attack the opoents flanks and his back. Always attack only the weakest points of the oponent ! Not the strongest! The Flanks are the weakest points of the oponent !
Use the hotkey CTRL+ 1-9 to set groups of soldiers in this care HUssars on numbers!
Poland vs Poland.
Hello Everybody!
I think it is important to let you know how to play, Poland since Poland is not the nation the most of you know-how to play.
Drags with Poalnd is better than Lightriders, thats why i will tell you how to play it
Here a short introduction:
Drags 18. vs Lightriders
1. Keep your army together, as soon as you enlarge it you spread out your cover which will finally be your death, because yo ucannot hold such an amount of oponent`s riders !
Though it is important to know, that he may not surround you !!!if you see, that he places his drags and his lightriders togetehr, then it will be his strongest flank which, means that you have to send your strongest forces also the side where he attack with it, to push him back. By doing this, take some drags and piks without order of attack and send them more to the flank so that yo umake sure to surround his cavallery !
2. Upgrade the Pikemen of 18th Century in defence completely
3. Build enoug harbors and boats ( AT least 17 harbors and 300 boats), because of the huge amount of oponents cavallery and your prodction of shooting units ( Drags 18.), your consume of iron and coal will be enorm.
4. Force your oponent to fight vs your formations of muskets, since your formations are the striongest forces you have !
5. In case taht you have no cover but still all shooter, retereat early enough a much as possible to have again enough cover !
Retreat in your base if necessary ! I cannot count how often i lost with drags vs lightiriders in mainfight, but if you go early enough in your base and you surround him there with your shooters you can beat him badly.
